Welcome to the Formula 1 Belgium Grand Prix!
Are you looking to tick one off the bucket list? Maybe this will mark your 10th visit to the Belgian GP? Or perhaps you’re looking to treat a loved one? Either way – don’t worry… we have you covered!
It’s always a long August for Formula 1 fans, but after a few weeks break, racing is back! And where better to kick things back off again, than a real fan favourite – Spa. It’s a track not just admired by the fans, but drivers and team members all around.
F1’s longest all-rounder circuit opts drivers into an awesome test. Iconic corners, uphill straights, unpredictable weather and ample opportunity to overtake. It all adds up to a whole lot of action and one an F1 fan can’t miss! So, we’ve got your ticket…but please, just remember your sun cream and poncho – yes, both!
Your long weekend kicks off in Brussels, so whether you fancy spending a few hours at Grand Place, the beautiful UNESCO heritage site, or indulging at Mason Dandoy, the best waffle shop in town, you’re set for a great start to an unforgettable trip. Brussels is packed with amazing architecture, history and tonnes of culture, so your time away from the track certainly won’t disappoint.
In a nutshell…….
Here’s how your day will look!
You’ve booked your own travel so we’ll see you when you get to Brussels.
Check-in is usually around 3 pm, but don’t worry if you’re there before, the hotel will store your bags, so you can head straight out!
You’ll find a sportsbreaks.com notice board in your hotel reception. This will display all important information and transfer times for the weekend.
If you’ve added a qualifying ticket and return Saturday transfer to your package, here’s the plan…
Grab some breakfast and meet in reception for your early morning transfer to Spa. When you arrive at the circuit, your coach will park in its allocated spot and your onboard rep will let you know what time to be back after the race. You’ll be a short walk from the entrance and ready for an amazing day at qualifiers.
If you’re not heading to Spa today, the days are yours to enjoy! Why not check out what Grand Place has to offer.
Good news…we’re all heading to the track today!
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and then meet in reception for your circuit transfer. When you arrive at Spa, your coach will park in its allocated spot and your onboard rep will let you know what time to be back here after the race. Then, it’s over to you to enjoy a fun fueled day of racing. You’ll have a fantastic day!
After a great weekend, sadly it’s time to head home. You’ll need to check out by 12-noon (some hotels may have slightly earlier/later check-out times), but if you’re on a later flight/Eurostar, the hotel will store your luggage, so you can enjoy your last day in Brussels.
Here are some things we need you to know:
If a sprint race is added to the 2022 F1 Belgium GP we will communicate this to you. If this happens qualifying will move to Friday. We will offer the chance for all to attend the Friday but this may be by train and at an additional cost.
The transfer from your Brussels hotel to Spa will take around 2 – 3 hours but can sometimes be longer due to bad traffic conditions entering the circuit. The coach park is approximately 15 minutes’ walk from the circuit.
The circuit vendors operate on a token system. You will need to purchase tokens when you get to the circuit and use these to buy any food, drink or merchandise. The Fan Zone is packed with food & drink choices and has great entertainment throughout the day!
Cash machines are available at the circuit but can get quite busy with some big queues.
